Tuffet Party, License Plates and more!

206 S. Main, Lusk, WY  82225, 307-334-9963, www.licketystitchquilts.com

Our 2016 Row x Row License Plates have arrived!

Here is Jane modeling a fine thread-guide mustache and displaying the banner depicting our new license plate for this year. (The real license plates are 3-1/2" x 7-1/4".) Although Row x Row doesn't start until  June 21 and runs through September 6,  our license plates are available now.  The purpose of Row x Row is to entice you all to come see our store - and we hope you will do just that. However, if you can't make it into the store but still want a license plate - you may add one to any other product order from our website by calling your order in to 307-334-9963. License plates may not be ordered alone - only with at least one other product.

A good time was had by all...
The Quilt Til You Wilt held in March was a great success - with many requests to hold another soon.  We would love to have more of them - if we just weren't so busy we would schedule one a month!  Meanwhile, we will see what we can do...

Here is a  link to the recipe we served on Friday evening and for which we had several requests, Cheesy Enchilada Casserole.

Next, a list of the tips that were given to help prepare your quilt for quilting, whether you are doing it yourself or taking it to have it custom quilted:

1. Apply the borders correctly so you don't get wavy borders.  Of the quilts we custom quilt for people, this is the area that causes the most grief.  If you haven't brushed up on correct border application lately,  I suggest you do so by going to Basic Quilting Instructions and reading through the Applying Borders document there.
2.  Baste down any flanges or loose pieces so they don't get caught in the quilting.
3.  Sew around the edge of your quilt top just inside the 1/4-inch line to secure the seams that are not back-stitched, which is especially important if your outer border is pieced.

Tuffet Party April 9
If you are interested in joining us for our Tuffet making party (this is just too much fun to call it a class!) please call to get your reservation in by April 1.  This will enable us to order the kits and patterns so we have them just in time for April 9.  Click Here for all the details, then call us at 307-334-9963 if you have questions - and to reserve a spot in the class.  If April 9 does not work for you, call and we will arrange a time that does.

New Arrivals

Just arrived: a new Minkee Kit, Coral Crush, in shades of Coral and Navy. This is a really beautiful and soft throw - perfect for Mother's Day, Graduation, or any other event.  We have coordinating Minkee Cuddle prints and solids in stock.

New Precuts

Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Charm Packs and even some Mini Charms have arrived from Moda in Bees N Blooms (by Kansas Troubles) and Grow! (by Me & My Sister).

Plethora of 108" WIDE BACKS

NOUN

  1. (a plethora of)
a large or excessive amount of (something):
"a plethora of colors and fabrics to choose from"

Jane told me to tell you all that we have a plethora of new wide backings.  She likes to use big words, and it seemed a fitting word for our large selection and for the extra wide fabrics!
