MAKE IT WITH WOOL CONTEST

TORRINGTON QUILT SHOW
The 19th Annual Quilts Along the Platte Quilt Show is being held September 20, 21 and 22 at the Rendezvous Center, Goshen County Fairgrounds in Torrington.  Admission is free.  100+ quilts will be on display, a boutique of  handmade items to buy, vendors booths, demonstrations, make & take projects, a chance to vote for your favorite quilt, quilts for sale, and refreshments, all sponsored by Goshen County Quilters.  Hours are 10-6 Friday and Saturday, 11-3 on Sunday.

First Saturday Quilting Group:
I have reserved the Lusk Senior Center for the first Saturdays of September, October, November and December.  Mark your calendars now for Sept 7, Oct 5, Nov 2 and Dec 7 so that you can come join the fun plus get a lot done!  We are going to give a Thangles project pack to each person who comes September 7 and will have a  demo at 10:00 how to use them.  In case you don't know what a Thangle is - it is a way to make half-square triangles easily and accurately.  If you don't know what a half-square triangle is or what it is used for- you REALLY need to be at the demonstration Saturday.  This is a free class with supplies provided. (You will need basic sewing supplies and a sewing machine)   Don't miss it!  We are also going to have Show and Tell at 1:00.  This is your chance to see what everyone has been doing over the summer, or to see the projects-in-progress.  We will also be discussing the Quilts of Valor happenings and I will bring new information that I received from the area director last week regarding QOV.
