SALE AND EVENT SATURDAY, AUGUST 29.
206 S. Main, Lusk, WY 82225, 307-334-9963, www.licketystitchquilts.com
Do you ever feel you need a little help to get your creative juices flowing? I know I do - there are so many things that take our time, attention, resources, energy - it is easy to quench that little "spark" of creativity that WANTS to come out.
I have been inspired by a book, The Little Spark, 30 Ways to Ignite Your Creativity, by Carrie Bloomston.
As a result, we are developing a new program at Lickety Stitch that is going to be all about encouraging this "spark". We are planning events and classes during the fall and winter months to "Feed The Spark" and encourage our customers in creativity - with fabric, sewing, and quilting - but with other mediums also. Upcoming sessions and classes will include techniques, projects, ideas for using your creations in decorating your home, how to use your scraps and stash, opportunities for sharing projects with others - all the things that creative people love most! We are planning projects using wood, paper, yarn, plants, and more. Sound like fun? We don't think anyone will be disappointed! Even if you don't feel "creative," here is your chance to experiment with different mediums and find your personal favorite!

Class No. 1 - Promoting Wellness Through a Chemical-Free Lifestyle.
Thursday, August 27, at 4 p.m.
Jeanna Anderson, from Wheatland, Wyoming, will be presenting a class tomorrow on Young Living Essential Oils and products. Light refreshments will be served.
We will be making some products in future classes using essential oils and we wanted everyone to have a basic knowledge about the oils before proceeding with these projects.
Registration: Call to tell us you are coming so we know how many chairs to have ready - but drop-ins are OK also! 307-334-9963
Class Fee: Free
****************************************************************************Class Class No. 2 - Aunt Philly's RAG RUG
Tuesday, September 1, 2015
choice of 1 p.m. or 5:30 p.m.
This project will use quite a bit of fabric - think of the "What was I thinking?" pieces in your stash , or of lower quality fabrics. Color is the most important factor in how your rug will turn out. Fabrics used together should be similar in weight. Make it scrappy or color coordinated. How about using some old sheets you no longer need? Consider dying them to make them colorful. (We have some fun dyes at Lickety Stitch.) You will start by tearing them into 2- inch strips. We will show you an easy quick way to join the strips as you go. We should get a good start in this first class, then we will schedule more time to work on your project as needed.
Please call the shop at 334-9963 to register for the class.
Class fee $5
Pattern and needle: $13.00
Materials needed: Fabric (or sheets or rags) torn into 2" strips. Amount depends on size - lots for a rug, not so many for a placemat.

If you are interested in classes, please take advantage of these we are offering, as the interest level will determine how long we continue the program. We get inquiries very often about classes but find people are reluctant to commit to coming. We WANT to offer them - but need participation of the community to continue. If you would come at a different time, let us know so we can consider days and times for offerings.
