I just had to send a quick e-mail your way today to share with a link for one of The Quilt Show episodes that I loved watching. First of all, I have been wanting to make a star quilt with the new Samantha Collection we just got in last week (see picture below). This pink and brown colorway in such traditional prints just needs to be in a star quilt, don't you think? So, this episode of The Quilt Show shows using Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star ruler to create some beautiful star quilts in a way that makes perfect points easy. More about that later, but just watch the episode for now so you have the knowledge they share. But- you have to do it before October 11, if you want to watch it free. So, that gives you 4 days to find a spare 52 minutes in your busy schedule to watch it, and I know you will find it well worth the time.
But that is not all!!!! Remember the Little Spark book that I have been raving about the past couple months? At the end of this episode, you will get some fun and really valuable information from the writer of that book, Carrie Bloomston, about color, inspiration, and techniques for making your quilts better - plus a look into her studio.
Here is the link:
Find time to watch the episode, then come to Lickety Stitch (or go to www.licketystitchquilts.com) and get one of Carrie's "The Little Spark" Books.
We will be planning a class soon using Deb Tucker's Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star ruler, they haven't arrived at the store yet, but let me know if you want me to reserve one for you, and if you want to take a class with us on this method.
