Quilt 'Til You Wilt Update

206 S. Main, Lusk, WY  82225, 307-334-9963, www.licketystitchquilts.com

ARE YOU READY?
Only a few more days until Quilt 'Til You Wilt!  I am not sure I am ready, but we are certainly looking forward to it!

September 23, 24, and 25 are the dates of the retreat, which are Thursday, Friday and Saturday next week.  If you would like to arrive on Wednesday, you may come in and set up Wednesday afternoon/evening. The doors will be open until 9 p.m. on Wednesday for setup, then again at 8 a.m. for all that are arriving on Thursday morning.

Additional Sewing Days
There are still plenty of seats available in the September Sew Days September 20, 21 and 22, the three days before Quilt 'Til You Wilt.  If you want to make a week-long event of it, add a day or two onto your retreat!  We cancelled the classes that were first offered due to low enrollment.  What is offered in these days is 13 hours per day to dedicate to sewing and quilting without interruption in the company of other passionate quilters!  You can sign up for September Sew Days here.  The cost is $25 per day.  Meals and snacks will be on your own.

Some important reminders:
Remember to bring all your sewing supplies, especially your sewing machine cord, foot pedal, and a long extension cord with more than one outlet if you have extra things to plug in like an iron, light, etc.  You may bring your own iron and ironing board - although we will have several to share around the room.  The chairs available at the facility are metal folding chairs - a pillow or pad makes them much more comfortable for long days of sewing. Or bring your favorite sewing chair along!   The lighting in the room is adequate but not brilliant so feel free to bring a sewing light if you have a favorite.
Make sure to mark all your tools with your name - everyone has similar rulers, cutters, scissors, etc. and we want everyone to go home with what they brought!

Focus Groups
Jane is planning to make a presentation on Thursday morning, September 23, at 10 a.m. on the Roam Buffalo Quilt.  Some of you may already have the pattern and plan to make this quilt - she wanted you to know that she will be doing a demo on helpful techniques and information on the quilt at that time.  If you wish to bring your Roam quilt as a project to work on, she will be available to help during the days of the retreat.
Friday morning, September 24, at 10 a.m. Jane is planning a Demo on the Rapid Fire Hunter Star ruler.  If there is anyone who has this ruler and needs help getting started, this might just be a great opportunity!  We also have most of the Tucker 180 Design Rulers in stock - so if you are looking to add one to your collection, they will be available at Lickety Stitch Quilts.

Thursday Evening Community Hour
You are invited to bring a project to show during this hour on Thursday, September 23, starting at 7 p.m.  We are always inspired by seeing what others have accomplished during the year (or more!) and would enjoy seeing your special projects.  We are expecting 70 participants this year so won't have time for a long presentation from anyone.  But please feel free to bring along and tell about a project you might be specially proud of to share with others.

Friday Evening Special Event
Karen Gibbs, fabric designer for Northcott Fabrics,  is scheduled to make a special presentation on Friday evening at 7 p.m.  Karen is involved in the design, production, and marketing  of beautiful and unusual batiks - and we can't wait to see what she has in store to show us!

Health Safety Precautions
The room is large and social distancing is possible.  Masks are not required - but feel free to wear one if you would feel more comfortable.
We ask all to be aware of keeping everyone healthy and safe. If you feel it would be wiser not to come to the retreat for your own or others' safety, contact us and we will refund your fees.

MEALS
Gloved servers will dish out the food at meals to reduce cross-handling of utensils for extra safety.  Partially because of the number of people we are expecting and partially to keep people better separated, meals will be eaten at individual sewing stations instead of at shared tables.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide different food for special dietary needs because of the numbers we are expecting and the limited personnel resources we have preparing food.  If  you have special dietary needs, please plan to provide your own food. If you have questions, call 307-334-9963.

If you need motel reservations, please call one of the following motels.  Tell them you are coming to the Quilt Retreat.  We want them to know how quilting supports our town!
