Quilt Til You Wilt Details
It has been a beehive of activity around Lickety Stitch as we get ready for Quilt Til You Wilt coming up next week! I hope you have your projects planned - be sure to bring enough to keep busy as you will likely get more done than you think possible.
Where it is at:
Niobrara County Fair Building
4080 US Hwy, 20 Lusk, WY
Remember the dates and times:
Session 1 is Monday, March 28 and Tuesday, March 29 from 8 a.m until 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 30 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Session 2 is Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1 from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 2, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Set Up Times:
For those of you coming for the first session, we will be open Fairgrounds from 6-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 27 so you can unload your machines and supplies into the building and get set up if you so desire. You can also come after 8 the next morning. For those of you coming for the second session, you may bring your machines and supplies from 6-7 on Wednesday, March 30 or after 8 the next morning. If you are coming for both retreats you will not need to remove your things between them, of course.
Things to bring:
Please bring a long extension cord as some tables are quite far from the outlets. If you have more than one item to plug in - like irons, lights, etc, you will want to have a cord with multiple outlets.
The chairs are metal folding chairs so we suggest bringing your own favorite sewing chair or a cushion to make yourself more comfortable. Although the lighting is adequate, you may choose to bring a table sewing light if you feel it would be helpful. There will be several irons and ironing boards scattered around the room to share. Bring your iron and ironing board if you want as there is plenty of room.
Also remember your sewing machine, the cord and foot pedal to your machine plus all the necessary notions you will need as well as fabric and supplies for your projects.
Meals:
We are having some meals catered and bringing some in from local eateries. 3 noon meals and 2 evening meals will be provided each session. (No evening meals on Wednesday or Saturday.) We will have water, ice tea, hot tea, and coffee available during the day. Bring a favorite cup for hot drinks if you like - unfortunately we have been unable to get the disposable hot drink cups with lids that fit, so they will not be provided. We will have snacks available. No breakfast will be served.
As always, the retreat is an opportunity for you to work on your own projects. However, if you want to choose any of the optional projects below to participate in, we are sending the material lists so you can be prepared.
Demos and optional projects planned that you may join in if you like.
