Collage Class January 12-13
The Laura Heine Collage Class with Cathy Kaufman is coming right up next week on Friday and Saturday, January 12 and 13! I wanted to touch base to make sure we have everything you need. If you asked me to order a pattern and/or kit, it is here waiting for you. If you need blue Karen Kay Buckley scissors, would you please shoot me an email today so I can be sure I have enough of them in stock? Sharon and Kathy, I already have you on the list for scissors.
We will have the classroom open at 8:30a.m. on Friday, Jan 12, so you can come get settled in before class a little early. You will NOT need your sewing machine. Class will start at 9 a.m.. We are planning on running the class until 4 p.m. but will see on that day if we need to run the class over until 5 to get to a good stopping place. Class on Saturday will also be 9 - 4.
Class will be held in the Annex just north of Lickety Stitch Quilts. You will enter by the red door on the north side. You may park in the lot north of Lickety Stitch and next to the Annex, but be aware the parking area can be icy so be very careful. There is additional parking along 2nd Street west of the alley and in the city parking lot. To reach that lot continue west on 2nd Street to Pine Street, turn left and go 1/2 block. Please do not park on Main Street in the block in front of the quilt shop or other businesses, since that can affect our neighboring businesses and we want to keep good relations with them!
We will plan a break for lunch mid-day and you can either bring your lunch and eat in the classroom or eat at or order from one of our local restaurants. There are a coffee maker, and electric tea pot, and tea bags in the classroom. There is a refrigerator in the classroom if you want to refrigerate your lunch or something to drink. You are welcome to bring snacks to fortify you as you work!
